The set includes five animals from the African savannah: a cheetah cub, a giant pangolin, a flamingo, a giraffe calf and an African elephant calf. Africa has an incredible variety of different animal species. The hot savannahs of southern and eastern Africa are home to elephants, giraffes and dangerous big cats such as cheetahs. Giant pangolins live in the tropical rainforests of central Africa, while flamingos love fishing for crabs in big saltwater lakes.

Fun fact: During their first months, baby cheetahs have a long, fluffy mane on the head and neck.

Schleich products are made of various plastics and dyes, which are carefully selected to meet the respective requirements. Most typically plastics used are polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), in addition to other plastics typical for toys. Even the material suppliers are subject to strict controls by our quality officers. The dyes used are optimally adapted to the different types of plastic and demonstrate top-rate mechanical and chemical resistance. They ensure the high durability of Schleich products and make all Schleich pieces saliva and sweat proof as well as abrasion-resistant, and thus ensure that they are completely safe for playing with. Only once a product meets fully all international laws, standards and guidelines for toys is it released for production. All Schleich articles and materials comply with the national and international toy requirements applicable worldwide, as well as the new European Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and DIN EN 71.

Recommended for 3+.

We love Schleich’s realistic animal figures, a quality toy that stimulates the child’s imagination as well as teaching them about animals and wildlife.
