Ring tailed lemurs are small monkeys with long, black and white curled tails. They are active during the day, live in small groups and like to cuddle up together. At night they sleep in trees. During the day they scavenge for fruit and leaves. The leader of a group of ring-tailed lemurs is always female. The only other animal groups led by females are hyenas and meerkats

Fun fact: When ring-tailed lemurs fight each other, they give off a powerful odour. The winner is the one with the strongest stench.

Schleich products are made of various plastics and dyes, which are carefully selected to meet the respective requirements. Most typically plastics used are polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), in addition to other plastics typical for toys. Even the material suppliers are subject to strict controls by our quality officers. The dyes used are optimally adapted to the different types of plastic and demonstrate top-rate mechanical and chemical resistance. They ensure the high durability of Schleich products and make all Schleich pieces saliva and sweat proof as well as abrasion-resistant, and thus ensure that they are completely safe for playing with. Only once a product meets fully all international laws, standards and guidelines for toys is it released for production. All Schleich articles and materials comply with the national and international toy requirements applicable worldwide, as well as the new European Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and DIN EN 71.

We love Schleich’s realistic animal figures, a quality toy that stimulates the child’s imagination as well as teaching them about animals and wildlife.
